Speech &
Language Therapy

Our clinicians are trained to address a wide range of communication impairments, including but not limited to:

  • Articulation Disorders

  • Phonological Disorders

  • Receptive and Expressive Language Impairments

  • Language-Based Literacy Delays

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Cleft Palate, Cleft Lip, VPI

Therapy sessions are typically  30-minutes long and most often occur 1-2 times per week, although frequency varies according to the individual needs of the client.

Remote Therapy (Telepractice)

Telepractice services are needed more than ever now in the wake of COVID-19.  In response, we have enhanced our menu of services to offer speech, language and feeding therapy and evaluation services  remotely from the comfort of your home, through our HIPPA compliant synchronous platform.  Call us today to discuss options, and determine if telepractice is the best option for your child. Please note that insurance carriers vary with regard to their level of coverage for telepractice services based on the terms and conditions of the contract.

Feeding Therapy

Our feeding and swallowing therapists are experienced in a wide range of disorders associated with complex feeding issues, including but not limited to:

  • Gastrointestinal Disease

  • Failure to Thrive

  • GT Dependency

  • Medically Fragile Children

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Sensory Processing Disorder

  • Food Aversion or Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder

A multi-disciplinary team approach is made possible through our well-established relationships with a wide range of related specialists who work as consultants to our program.  This includes an occupational therapist,  registered dietician, and a behavioral health specialist.

 

 

Evaluations

Speech, language and feeding evaluations are available, and appointments are usually available within 2 weeks of initially contacting us.  Depending upon the nature of the assessment, multiple evaluation sessions may be necessary.  Feeding evaluations most often require assessments with multiple professionals, so time frame may vary.

Parent Classes

Parent training sessions are available for families in need of assistance managing feeding issues at home and/or school environments. Consultative services are also available for families looking for a feeding specialist to consult with their EI home-based team.
